Our Nebula Advanced Overdrive was the first of its kind. A four cable overdrive that could dial depth back in to the power amp when cutting bass on the way in for an extremely controlled and tight tone. Most users ended up not using the second set of cables due to the huge amount of tonal variety in the main knobs and switches, so it was time to do a slimmed down version. This one is IDENTICAL to the original overdrive section and only omits the secondary section which was completely isolated.

Volume: This is the most obvious. It makes the pedal louder. Around noon on the control you will hear only a tonal change which essentially colors your guitar's tone rather than also boosting its output.

Gain: Would you like a little or a lot? Minimum settings will give you a very clean tone and turn the pedal into essentially just a mid boost. Turn it up just a bit to add a huge amount of crunch and a little saturation. If your amp is lacking in gain, you can crank it up as much as you want to thicken things up a ton without turning into pure mud.

-/+: With this control, your starting point should be at Noon. Turning to the left will cut the frequency you've selected. turning it right will boost it. PLEASE NOTE: The Frequency and Width controls have ZERO effect with the -/+ control set at Noon. This puts the mid eq in bypass as it is not taking away or adding anything.

Freq: This is where most drives are lacking. It's been predetermined how your sound will be voiced before you even plug them in. With frequencies ranging from 1400hz up to 2700hz, you have full control over the attack and presence of your tone. The lower range typically gives you the "buzz word" tones like djent, quack, honk, etc. The higher range gives you more of a gritty, crunchy bite. Don't know what these mean? Then all you have to do is turn up the -/+ then turn the Freq control with your eyes closed.

Width: This sets the width/curve of the eq section. Lower settings give you a very small curve that helps narrow in specifically on the Frequency control. The higher the Width, the more surrounding frequencies will be effected as well.

Tone: A tubescreamer style tone control with variable frequency selection (See Bright) that pairs with the mid eq controls. Dial in a lot of the Mid eq and a little of the Tone, or the opposite, or a bit of both, etc.

Bright: Normal Mode is the standard brightness of the Tone control. Warm dials back the top frequencies. Sharp brings in considerably more than either other mode.

Clip: This changes the clipping diodes found in the overdrive section. Asymmetrical and Symmetrical each have the same output with different clipping characteristics, while the Opamp clipping removes the diodes and adds in more overall output volume. This switch will be most obvious with the Gain control at maximum.

Tight: This effects the low end response/tightness of the pedal. Normal gives you a range typical to that found in the "classics" while the Tight setting filters considerably more bass to sharpen the signal. Phat gives a decent boost to the low end and phattens up the signal.
